2026 Movie Log

i found myself really liking this movie. it was incredibly nasty and gory and wild, and at the same time, i feel like it fumbled in a lot of areas. i think it executed the themes well, but by god it over-stayed its welcome. i checked the run-time when i paused it to let a friend go run to the bathroom and i was shocked when there was still 50 minutes left, especially when it felt like we were at a very big climactic moment. there were a lot of lingering shots i know were for impact but definitely could have been cut or shortened in some way. i say that but also the final 10 minutes of this movie was actually impecable and all movies need to take note. all in all... i enjoyed this movie. i think every man in hollywood should die.

WHY DID I AGREE TO WATCH THIS I'M NOT A 12 YEAR OLD BOY.

This got some genuine laughs out of me. It's a Disney movie at the end of the day, so it's gonna go exactly how you think it will, and IMO, it's not even one of their more re-watchable ones, but I thought it was still good nonetheless.

I liked this movie so much I finally went back and read the book. There's something very endearing about this story, but that might just be Ryan Gosling's new status as "sad pathetic pretty boy" type-cast actor getting to me.
